My sister and I bought hydration packs, and they are amazing.  How did I exist before I could wear a backpack filled with water?  I AM SRS.  HOW I EXIST.  I wore mine for the first time when I went on a walk/jog last night, and the difference it made was astounding.  I can never find a water bottle big enough to carry the amount of water I actually need if I'm going to do 3-5 miles, and rationing the water as I go just psychs me out, and I get thirstier and thirstier.  Being able to lug 2 liters on my back and not have to carry a bottle is just fantastic.  I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

Right now I'm waiting for the sun to go down so I can go for my walk/jog.  (I don't like to say "walk," because I do run quite a bit, but I'm not yet up to just running [fucking hills], so it feels like a lie if I say I'm going for a run.  Anyway.)  It's blasted hot.  Also, our air conditioner quit at work yesterday, and by the time I left at 5pm it was 80 degrees inside.  Such fun!  I hate summer, you guys.  I really, really do.

Those packs look so cool! Do you have to take them off your shoulder in order to drink from them?

And on another note completely: would you happen to know whether screencaps are considered copyright-protected in terms of icon-making?

No - there's a tube that comes out the top and down the front of one of the shoulder straps you drink from, so it's totally hands-free. It's amazing.

Hmm.... I'm not sure about caps. I mean, I'm pretty sure anything having to do with a show or movie is technically copyright-protected, but unless you're trying to make money off of it, there's pretty much no enforcement. I've never heard of anyone having trouble with making icons. ANYONE.

Haha, you are SERIOUS about running! Go you! I don't know how you can do it outside. I "jog," and by that I mean I jog in place in my living room away from the heat (it's 110+ during the day now, and 90+ at night) and also away from people looking at me. Looolol. That water pack thing is cool though!

Shit, we certainly don't get that hot. I think we got up to 95 today? Of course, I think we have more humidity than you do, so it might be six of one in that regard. But yeah, I totally have to wait till the sun's not directly overhead. I should have waited another half hour or so, but I wanted to swim when I got back, so I left a little early.

I drive out of my neighborhood to a more rural road, so I don't really pass that many people when I run. The horses look at me, though, heh.
