I counted my chapsticks - two in my desk, one in my purse and one in my jacket pocket. But one of the ones in my desk is almost gone! What if it runs out in the middle of the day??!!

That is the eternal question with chapsticks. To be without is unthinkable. (I now have two on my desk, two in my bag, one in my purse, two on my computer desk at home, two in my bathroom, one by my bed, and one in the living room. MY LIPS WILL ALWAYS BE MOIST AND PERFECT.)

Isn't Theoden a ginger cat, too? Is he also kind of a bastard? Mr. Phoenix hissed at me this morning when I didn't give him his milk fast enough, so I smacked his head. Then he was my BFF.

He is also a ginger (that's him in the icon). And his way of being a bastard is more passive-aggressive - when whining fails to get the result he wants, he finds something really annoying to do, like getting up and chewing on random cords or knocking things off a desk.

Mr Phoenix sounds like quite a character. The Boy's cat (white with grey mackerel patches) growls if you try to take a toy away from him, but I don't think either of them have ever hissed at me.

LOL, yeah, Phoenix doesn't do passive-aggressive. Though he is tremendously affectionate most of the time; I've just spoiled him to expect milk in the morning. Usually he just does that thing where he cries but no sound, or very little, actually comes out. Like he's a poor wittle baby or something.

Ah, growling. I want to ask them if they think they actually scare me.

That's fantastic. Theoden is kind of dumb about that - even when he's trying to be pathetic he's got a great big, fairly deep voice for a cat. Random (the grey/white) is a bit brighter - he makes tiny cute little mewing noises when he's hungry. He's better at the whole sympathy thing. Theo just shouts.

In fairness, Random gets away with this with me because, um, he does. o_O I'm used to Theoden, who is a big orange marshmallow who hardly remembers he has claws, whereas The Boy wrassles with Random like he's a dog and lets him claw his arms and crap, so... yes, I admit, I am a bit afraid of that cat when he gets a certain look in his eyes. >_>

Hee! That's adorable. I had a cat who didn't like his belly rubbed and would claw me and BITE like a motherfucker, so I learned to not rub his belly. The others will sometimes play but never actually hurt (for the most part).

And the cat made me laugh, your caption reminded me of a game I used to play on the computer where you had to finish funny inventions and they said stuff like 'Help the bird take a shover' ... 'Help the cat to get some milk' could've been one too (there was actually one where you helped a cat to fly!xD)

Great pictures of your grandfather during WWII. Reminds me that maybe I should do scans of my own grandfather's WWII pics.

Things that always seem to multiply, chapstick and books. And if anyone asks, yes, we really do need that many. ;)
