Came home late from writer's group last night; took a shower and was too tired/lazy to dry my hair.  So I went to bed with a wet head, and this is a fairly good representation of my morning:

I eventually worked it out, though.  Had a cromulent breakfast of pancakes and strawberry jam, got my morning work done very early, and it's a nice day today.  I'm hopeful to finish editing my screenplay in the next day or two so I can finally begin the second draft.  Things are going well!

I am having one of those sad days where I'm just, like, really looking forward to lunch.  Leftover fried chicken and mashed potatoes yayyyyyyy.

I try to mix it up -- usually I go to something like Subway or a deli, but today I got curry from one of my favorite thai places omnomnom.

...and my exhaust system fell apart on the way there, causing my poor little taurus to start making scary noises like an effing muscle car with a cold, so there's that. >:/ Wheeeee....

Lucky! I don't have a long enough lunch to leave to get anything. There's a Subway nearby, which is okay, and a Mr. Goodcents (do you guys have them?) which is better, but by the time I drove, picked food up, and came back, I'd essentially use my entire lunch.

It's a sub place. They actually slice their meat and cheese fresh there, and their bread is ah-maz-ing. It's a billionty times better than Subway.

In my defense, so you won't think I've gone *completely* off the deep end, "haiku" was the prompt at rememberlaura today. I don't usually sit around composing geek-ku... although I might start; it was very gratifying.

I don't normally look forward to lunch, because I usually just have something bland and boring (soup, yesterday I had Malt-o-Meal), or leftovers that aren't that great. But leftover fried chicken is amazing, so I am excite.

I kind of hate whoever invented ceramic hair straighteners. It's not that they don't do wonders for my wispy frizz (they do) but now everyone goes around with silky and sleek hair and you have to up your game because if you don't bother people look at you like some kind of scruff where previously they didn't, and I hate mornings enough without having to iron my hair flat on top of everything else and aaarghflbbbptrrrg pressures of female grooming I'm clean what more do you want

So yes, awesome gif. 27 years means I don't think I'm ever going to get the hang of hair.

Ugh, I refuse to try and straighten my hair. It's just not going to happen; I had a straightener back in HS, and the best it could do was make my hair mostly straight until it got to the ends, which would sort of kink out this way and that all fug. And it fried my hair to shit. So, no go.
