Heeee, ...need? Like, you really need another person because someone dropped out and you're short sort and you're going to start losing quickly or get kicked out sort of need? What sort of puzzles and activities are we talking about, and on what sort of timeline? I tried poking around to get an idea and I think most of their entries are member-locked.
P.S. Your Crusher Ethics icon I used earlier is prolly my favorite Crusher icon ay-var. Iz so pwetty. I obviously bought an additional icon space package and I can't believe how much fun I'm having for the price of a sandwich.
Yeah, I think we're 11 members behind the next lowest team, and a lot more behind the most staffed team; some people dropped this phase. So even when everyone participates, we're still likely to not score well. There are big challenges and little ones; I'm working on a trailer right now which is a pretty big challenge. And there are icon challenges, and mini fic challenges. There's also bingo (seriously, easiest challenge - you pick ten names off a list and get ten points), games of chance, jigsaw puzzles, sudokus, Guess the Last Word someone says in an episode; name that show (based on dialogue, clips, etc). Lots of different things! So if you were busy and could only do the tiny challenges, that would still be more points than we're getting now. The small challenges might be due a week after they're posted; the bigger ones are usually posted well in advance - like two to three weeks.
Aw, thanks! Though I will say that I don't believe there are any un-pwetty Crusher icons. Y'know. Because...Crusher. Always pwetty.
Why don't I give it a try for a round, and if I can't handle the time commitment I'll drop again after that? I can probably do the small stuff, and it'd be nice to have an icon assignment to get me started. (Heh, I'm so going to be kicking myself for this when I'm running up against a deadline on a work night.) Can I join mid-phase? Do I just pm the mod?
I took a bunch of my own TNG (read: Crusher) caps before I discovered trekcore and got lazy, but accidentally did a massive shift+delete of my entire tv/movie related pictures folder and lost a bunch of them before my "CANCEL CANCEL FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY CANCEL" could kick in. It's a pity -- I had some really lovely shots Trekcore doesn't have that I made a few crappy icons out of, but that I'd love to mess around with some more.

Oh my God I think I would die if I accidentally deleted any of my media folders. Right now, sadly, I have everything on my hard drive and my external, because I'm too chickenshit to delete anything off my computer. So I have doubles of everything.
Sweet! One last question -- do I need to know things about a bunch of different scifi fandoms, or is my focus on BSG and TNG enough? (I sometimes describe my geekdom as having immense depth but no breadth.)
Oh, totally! For the challenges that make you guess the episode or whatever, they're usually designed so that you can google, and the team comms will have hint posts and stuff. Two fandoms is totally plenty; I mostly just do B5, Fringe, with a little BSG and TNG thrown in for seasoning.
