First things first...

Lots of pillows or just one?
Two - one for each side of the bed.
What kind of books do you read?
Sci-fi, historical fiction, true crime, speculative fiction, non-fiction about whatever I find interesting. Sometimes YA and horror. I'll read anything, really, but those are the genres I gravitate toward.
What are your neighbors like?
On one side is a family that's lived there for over fifteen years, the kind of people who will always lend you anything you need, and when you go over you can just knock on the front door and let yourself in. On the other side, a divorced guy who drinks a lot and throws loud sports parties.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies—God damn it, you've got to be kind."
Tell 3 things you have in your point of view right now.
An orange clove candle, an original Nintendo console, a piano.
What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
Probably still Babylon 5.
Do you prefer your junk food sweet, salty or savory?
Salty, for the most part. I will never turn down chocolate, but if I'm nibbling on something I prefer salty.
What websites do you always visit when you go online?
Email, LJ, Oh No They Didn't, my friend's blogs, a couple of message boards. Here pretty quick I'll be checking Awardsdaily every day (Oscar season!), and next year I'll be back to checking TheOneRing.net every day (The Hobbit!)
What was the last thing you bought?
A new pair of shoes.
What is your favorite flower?
Daisies!
What is the most difficult thing you have ever done?
Wow, hmm. I guess trying to make a five-minute black-and-white MOS short film with sixty-year-old cameras on 16 mm with a partner who hadn't yet worked out how to turn the camera on was the most challenging task I've ever undertaken. (BTW, that film blows.)
What was the last meal you ate?
Went to Perkin's with my Grandpa. Roast beef; it was okay.
Do you want to learn another language?
I'm still chugging away on Latin. I haven't worked on it as much in the last six months as I would have liked, but I'm doing okay. Here pretty soon I'm going to start reading my first actual Latin text, and not just the sentences/paragraph exercises in the textbook.
Five things you want right now:
Fringe S2 on DVD, all of Babylon 5 on DVD, a new computer monitor, that Kinect thing (I don't even have an X-Box, so I guess that too?).
Find the closest book currently sitting near you and flip to page 36. What is the first sentence of the second paragraph?
Weeks later, back in the town of New Hampshire where I live, I put these questions to John Thorstensen, an astronomer at Dartmouth College. --"A Short History of Nearly Everything," Bill Bryson.
What's something that someone said to you today that was amusing?
My youngest sister's new favorite meme is "I not mad tho."
What are you looking forward to?
Well, I just saw Harry Potter, so I guess it's Tron!
Do you prefer boxers/briefs/tighty whities on a guy?
Boxers.
What is your favorite electronic accessory?
My computer. *pets

Date: 2010-11-29 04:45 am (UTC)Also holy crap did you just change your header? I swear I looked at it earlier, or yesterday and it was the regular J/D one. Or maybe I am just totally oblivious to everything!
