I'm still sort of amazed that The X-Files is actually, seriously coming back.  Like, I want to travel back in time and tell teenage me that XF will still be on the air twenty years later.  After being pretty worried about it during filming, hearing the positive reception the first episode got at NYCC is making me much more excited - though I'm still nowhere near the epic heights of my fandom back in the day.

And, of course, it's the fourth anniversary of the Parks and Rec episode where Tom and Donna remind us that it's the best day of the year...treat yourself!  I'm going to pick up something for lunch instead of eating the dumb Lean Cuisine I brought.  Treat yourself two thousand fifteen!

Sigh; it is a testament to my status as a bad fan that I did not realize it was either of those days. I am super excited about the new episodes, though. Whee!

Okay, I did see a tumblr post about Treat Yourself Day that reminded me of it; I of course remember the episode, but didn't know it first aired on 10/13.

The lunch I treated myself with gave me indigestion. Oop.

I still mourn the lack of Gilligan in the new episodes. I know he has Better Call Saul, but I also know he probably could have whipped a script up in about two days that would have put everyone else (except maybe Darin Morgan) to shame.

Oh, I know. Gilligan was clearly one of the standouts, and although Darin Morgan is involved, the show would benefit so much from VG's involvement. Maybe if XF gets renewed for a second miniseries, he can have a part in it.

Yeah, it sounds like they're optimistic about doing more, so fingers crossed!

Glad to hear the new X-files ep is getting positive buzz. I'm trying ot stay away from spoilers, but I'm very much looking forward to it (having just fully officially watched the whole series a few months ago)!

Yeah, I don't mind general feedback, but I'm definitely not seeking out the detailed spoilers. I've done that with shows in the past and I've definitely not enjoyed actually watching the episodes as much.

(The only thing I spoil myself on now is Walking Dead, because I need to verify that Carol is still alive.)

I haven't even seen X-Files and I am excited for the revival. Probably because I listened to a Gillian podcast once and they started talking about the show and that it should come back and a hashtag campaign that may or may not had a 'hand' in the revival^^

I wasn't the right age when it was on and when I started getting into watching more TV it was already over :/ And now I watch so much stuff that catching up on shows I haven't seen is not easy...the struggle is realXD

Oh my gosssshhh, I know. I have so much TV I want to watch at some point, and I'm lucky to get to one new show a year. I accidentally fell into the show I'm currently catching up on - Bob's Burgers, which is delightful - but I only manage 2-4 episodes a week, usually.

I got a bunch of new shows on my plate, but I also dropped some. It's tricky, new shows tend to be easier (especially summer shows), because there is no catching up to do. Only show I try to finally watch at the moment is Breaking Bad. But that is going slow cause I also go to the movies at least once a week and one of the flatmates is interested in watching Breaking Bad together once I am caught up to him and he works in the evenings a lot so it will even take longer to finally watch the showxD
