OMG, Grey 17. The first act or so, I was like, this episode is going to be great! Delenn is becoming Ranger One, and there's some creepy shit happening. And I ended up just having to FF through all of the actual A-plot and Garibaldi; it was too awful. I know JMS claims he was sick as a dog when he wrote it, but I can't give him that much credit because the B-plot with Delenn is just fine.
When I started this I wasn't thinking horror so much as I had recently rewatched the mutiny episodes of BSG, with emergency lights and is it the enemy just around the corner? and crawling through the ship, and realized that we had missed something like that on B5; something dark and claustrophobic and really using the sets as a character.
I agree, Kosh allowing all of this to happen is a little OOC for Kosh in particular, but not for the Vorlons, I think. I had planned to set it when Kosh 2 was on the station, but there just wasn't an open period of time where that would have worked for me, so. I'm still trying to figure out what Kosh would have done if Delenn hadn't passed the Inquisitor's test; let her die? Intervened? Kosh is so tough to figure out.
Thank you for all of your comments! It means a lot. :D
