There's a big emotional shift in these pages - less creepiness, more general sadness/angst/hopelessness. Was that intentional? (I like it in either case.)
Also the, um, bit with the rusty blade? With the manservant? Made me make my "ew, gross" face. Which is a good thing for you. I could totally hear the sound effect of that, and see him just handing it back to her like it was no biggie. Well played.
