I can see the "flattering" angle, but I also really see the "disrespectful" angle. And having written a play that was produced, I know exactly how difficult it is when someone takes your baby and interprets it in ways you never expected and are rather surprised/mortified by. (That was a serious exercise in learning about control issues, yes it was--though once I saw it, I liked what they did with it.)
If you're worried about posting such things, I think the filter suggestion is the way to go. As others have said, I'm perfectly capable of scrolling, but the filter makes things easier all around, I'd think--less worry for you, less accidental squickage for those who aren't interested...
