I have seasons one and three of BaTB (yuk on S3, but my mum meant well) on dvd. It doesn't hold up as well as I'd hoped, but I have watched Shades of Gray three times now so there's something there. I do love the atmosphere and the poetry.
I'm not too sure MZB would hold up either. Stick to the early original Darkover and you're probably safe. (That is written order, not story order, cause she flitted back and forth like whoa). I met her just before she died; strange little woman. Liked her though.
