I want John's first efforts to go easily so he starts to actually think that he'll be able to make a difference, and then...
There does need to be a rebellious sort of feel to some of this, though. I'm working on that. I think maybe going back to the sports, and Coach K (who John will realize was not at any of these meetings) - I think I was wrong to discount John sacrificing something as a part of all this.
Ugh, this was easier to write when it was just happy funtimes, LOL.
