I agree. I'm not running into his movies but when I catch them I know he'll do a good job.
All of what you said basically. Everytime I read stuff from people complaining about division into 3 parts I want to scream, because hardly anyone bothers to really get why it will be three parts. They just say 'It was such a small book it's not possible to make three movies' and that's it. I don't get the complaints about the 48 FPS, because from what I gathered you don't have to see it that way. I even saw the movie in plain 2D because I'm not much into 3D. Looking back I'm sure Avatar just got noms because it was so special at the time, I believe it wouldn't get such a buzz if it would come out now.
