Mad Libs Revealed!

I hope you guys enjoy these; I certainly did.  My favorite came from [livejournal.com profile] ghanimasun's words; the rest will be behind the cut.

Delenn couldn't help being excited, even though she knew the Shan'fal required prayer, meditation, and a coffee cup.  She had wanted John for a very long time, though, and tonight she was going to rotate, sing and eat him.  She knew that once he saw Lennier and her clan waiting outside her room, he would want to suspiciously laugh, but Delenn was reasonably confident that her stuffed bears would keep him from leaving.  She lit some candles, rearranged the jackets on her floor for the fortieth time, and hoped that John wouldn't be much longer.  She was nearly ready to attack.  It was hard to believe that nothing had happened between them by now - they had been engaged for 400 months, after all.  There had been that time a few weeks ago, when she'd nearly let him open her, but she was glad they waited.  There, the bell.  He was here.  "OH BOY!" she answered.

Delenn couldn't help being excited, even though she knew the Shan'fal required prayer, meditation, and flarn.  She had wanted John for a very long time, though, and tonight she was going to write, break and open him.  She knew that once he saw Lennier and her clan waiting outside her room, he would want to quietly hope, but Delenn was reasonably confident that her geese would keep him from leaving.  She lit some candles, rearranged the Starfuries on her floor for the fifth time, and hoped that John wouldn't be much longer.  She was nearly ready to watch.  It was hard to believe that nothing had happened between them by now - they had been engaged for ten months, after all.  There had been that time a few weeks ago, when she'd nearly let him investigate her, but she was glad they waited.  There, the bell.  He was here.  "Abso-fraggin-lutely!" she answered.

From [livejournal.com profile] xphilehb:

Delenn couldn't help being excited, even though she knew the Shan'fal required prayer, meditation, and a dog.  She had wanted John for a very long time, though, and tonight she was going to run, sit and cook him.  She knew that once he saw Lennier and her clan waiting outside her room, he would want to gingerly jump, but Delenn was reasonably confident that her fingers would keep him from leaving.  She lit some candles, rearranged the beds on her floor for the fifth time, and hoped that John wouldn't be much longer.  She was nearly ready to chew.  It was hard to believe that nothing had happened between them by now - they had been engaged for ten months, after all.  There had been that time a few weeks ago, when she'd nearly let him contemplate her, but she was glad they waited.  There, the bell.  He was here.  "Abso-fraggin-lutely!" she answered.

From [livejournal.com profile] nhpw:

Delenn couldn't help being excited, even though she knew the Shan'fal required prayer, meditation, and a tree.  She had wanted John for a very long time, though, and tonight she was going to run, skip and jolt him.  She knew that once he saw Lennier and her clan waiting outside her room, he would want to merrily roll, but Delenn was reasonably confident that her kisses would keep him from leaving.  She lit some candles, rearranged the mice on her floor for the twenty-seventh time, and hoped that John wouldn't be much longer.  She was nearly ready to hobble.  It was hard to believe that nothing had happened between them by now - they had been engaged for 3000 months, after all.  There had been that time a few weeks ago, when she'd nearly let him fling her, but she was glad they waited.  There, the bell.  He was here.  "That's all, folks!" she answered.

OMG I'm obviously twelve because these all made me laugh so much! I think they will stand up to a few re-readings without losing their humor. Also interesting that two people picked the same exclamation.

I might do this with my madlibs too, if you don't mind me stealing your technique!

[identity profile] kungfuwaynewho.livejournal.com 2010-09-14 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah...if you just got a reply from [livejournal.com profile] lavrapesto, that's my sister's username; she was logged in on my computer, heh. I'm usually good about checking.

So, I don't think you should know how hard I laughed when your initial list of words showed up and I got to "OH BOY!" Seriously. I think I'm still laughing.

Steal away! It's not like I came up with the whole idea or anything, LOL.

(I just now noticed the little smiling man in the background of your icon. Hee! I love the extras on shows.)

Haha, yeah the OH BOY keeps cracking me up every time I go back to reread it.

Also I never noticed that dude in the background of the icon, and I've used that icon a bunch lately. Nice catch!

I don't have time to do this for my mad libs tonight, but hopefully I'll get up a post soon for more lolz.

LOL! This is a brilliant idea. (Although I may be a little concerned over how closely [livejournal.com profile] xphilehb and I match up on something this random...)

I know! Especially on the numbers; that was hilarious.

Well, we have known each other for more than 15 years now, so maybe that explains it?

[identity profile] xphilehb.livejournal.com 2010-09-14 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
OMG...I thought the same thing! I mean, I know we have a lot in common, but I didn't realize we had the same thoughts too.

[identity profile] nhpw.livejournal.com 2010-09-14 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Oh this is awesome. Thanks for the laugh!

[identity profile] kungfuwaynewho.livejournal.com 2010-09-14 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
:D I liked "engaged for 3000 months." Surprisingly accurate!

[identity profile] xphilehb.livejournal.com 2010-09-14 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
HI-LAR-IOUS! I just giggled like a 12 year old girl for five minutes straight.

Hee! Yeah, I laughed when I read everyone's lists, and then I laughed again when I was putting the post together. I'm easy to amuse.
