This chapter didn't turn out at all like I expected.  I don't normally find myself getting pulled in one direction when my outline points in another, but since I wrote for about six hours today, good and steady, I figure that this is the right call.  Of course, now I'm back to square one, with no idea of where I'm going, but like John says at the end, I guess I'll figure it out.

I finished the bulk of the next chapter of Metamorphoses yesterday.  Today I was going to watch "In the Shadow of Z'Ha'Dum" as a refresher for the framing device I'm putting around that chapter.  Instead, I wrote the first chapter of that high school AU I was telling you guys about.

Normally I sit on new writerings a day or two at least, so I can edit with slightly more objective eyes, but I am entirely too tickled with this; so please point out any typos, awkward bits, or plain bad patches of writing.  And if you can think of a good overall title - you know, that isn't High School AU - let me know.
