I'm not doing the official "goals" thing because it leads to inevitable disappointment; however, unofficially, my overall goal is to do more things that bring me joy and satisfaction.  To that end, I am resolving to be more active on LJ once again.

Awwww, this gag reel brought me straight back to the 90's. Ut's a shame how I neglect TNG. I watch TOS from time to time. I'm still in the middle of rewatching DS 9 and I even see the occasional Voy episode. But TNG always falls off the wagon because I have no ship in it. Yes, ages ago I shipped Riker/Troi and I totally see the appeal of Picard/Q but it's not like K/S, Garak/Bashir or Kim/Ayala I still write today from time to time. Especially Garak/Bashir fandom is still very active.

I haven't watched DS9 or Voyager yet - though I feel like I know a lot about them already just through fandom osmosis. I ship Picard/Crusher HUUUUGELY, like, they are one of my top five all-time ships.

But seriously, I routinely watch gag reels of shows I don't even watch. It's one of my favorites.

Now that you say it... when I watched it for the first time back in the 90's I shipped them, too. I totally forgot that. And I had a small bit of excitment about Picard/Pulaski as well because they couldn't stand each other. That attracted me to the pairing. That she was a doctor as well was just a coincidence. Although it might be an interesting psychological component to why Picard couldn't stand her. She simply wasn't Beverly. *gg*

Gag reels are the best. It's a shame there isn't mor from Miranda. I saw the one from season 1 but that's all there is yet.

Dude, I am totally Picard - there wasn't anything about Pulaski that I shouldn't have liked, but she wasn't Crusher. So I didn't like her. Any other show, an older female actor who was competent and professional is pretty much destined to be my favorite character. But I was like GTFO PULASKI NO ONE LIKES YOU GOD.

To be fair, S2 of TNG is pretty wretched, anyway.

I don't think I've seen the gag reel from Miranda! I'll have to track that down.

I think this just came out, since they're putting TNG out on BluRay. I need to hunt down and see if there's one for S1. I love gag reels so much - nothing is more disappointing than going to special features on a DVD and not finding one.

It's so good to see you! I thought about you the other day. I've also been bad about getting on LJ, so that is actually one of my literal NY resolutions - be online more, but in a productive manner.

I can't imagine why Stewart wouldn't want these out - he is so frakking adorable here! I love how he just hangs all over everyone.

I hope they keep releasing them; I definitely need to see Gates being cute and giggly.
