Seriously, though, I think he likes telling stories. He's like an old soldier, sitting around talking about his glory days... *sigh*

Yes, this. Absolutely. This was so clearly just the fucking highlight of his career, you know. And what he was saying about how genre fans are unlike any other fans, and their loyalty and everything? I kind of feel the same way with actors who end up working on genre shows; the way Bruce talks about B5 is kinda the same way Edward James Olmos talks about BSG - more than just that they enjoyed it, but that it was important, and good storytelling, and changed television, &c.

When Jerry said it and Bruce gives a thumbs-up, it looks like they're reflecting on it as a fond memory - but throwing up doesn't sound very cool to me!

It probably was a fond memory even with the throwing up! Because they're boys. And Bruce seems like he's kind of a big NASA/space program fan, so it was probably one of those things that even if he'd blacked out and broken a bone and whatever, he still would have been psyched about it.
