This is quite possibly the saddest, shortest list I've ever had since I've started doing this - and it's two months' worth! Part of it is that I've been writing a lot more lately, but a lot of my TV consumption, which has always been the biggest part, hasn't been stuff that I'd keep track of here. I watched quite a few of the 9/11 docs, then watched all the JonBenét specials (and reading about both of those on the internet has cut into my reading books time, too). However, by far the biggest drain on my time is all the time I've spent lately watching and reading political bullshit. I've never really followed the elections all that closely before, but I've just been captivated this year. I read a comment somewhere comparing it to the ancient Romans and their love of gladiator matches; we're all just waiting for more and more blood.

Ugh, I KNOW. I feel like I could've gotten so many more productive things done in the last three months if this election weren't what it is. Come on, November 9th!

It has definitely, horribly cut into my at-work writing time. I'm to the point where I'm going to shut my monitor off and write by hand to get something done.

OMG, this election. My trainer suggested I give up alcohol and severely restrict carbs for 30 days (I have) to see if it would jump-start my weight loss (it did), but yesterday was day 28, and I caved and had a big ol' glass of red wine during the debate, because WTF even is this election.

Haha, Marshall and Sarah walked to the liquor store together, bought beer, came home and watched the debate. Which is as good a way to do it as there is, I think.

Galavant is a medieval musical show, sort of like Holy Grail, really clever/catchy musical numbers (Alan Menken!) and very self-aware in a "Why am I singing this to you out loud?" sort of way. Like, the first episode of the second season had an entire song celebrating the fact that they didn't get canceled. It's a goofy fun show, I watched it while grading. It's two seasons, only like 18 eps total, I think. It's on Netflix.

*waving*
I am stuck in only old media land right now so rewatches and catchups are the order of the day.
How are things non media? As for the election I am still awaiting my absentee ballot to see whether I get to partipate at all

Ugh, I have so many rewatches I'd like to get to. Rewatches are like steamy, warm comfort food. I really need to rewatch S3-4 of Babylon 5 if nothing else. (And I'd like to rewatch the whole of The Americans before the next season starts, but we'll see.)
I'm not really watching a ton of new media right now, but I've very much looking forward to S2 of The Man in the High Castle. The first season wasn't perfect, but it was so ambitious and imaginative, that sometimes counts for more in my book.

And you should come warch B5 at b5_revisited. We are starting S3 on Monday! I do some of the recaps, such fun!
