Writerly thingies.
For starters, I need to get people's dreamwidths! Since it seems a lot of people have moved over there, and I'll need to start being more active there, too. Throw 'em in the comments!
So I was going through and organizing my flash drive into folders, and I found the first page and a half of a John/Delenn story I started so long ago I don't even remember writing it! I'm going to dust that off and try to finish it for B5 love month. And I have like 70% of the next chapter of Metamorphoses done, and it's been at 70% for literal months, so my goal is to sit down and rewatch the relevant episode this weekend and finally frakking finish that. (Feel free to yell at me for encouragement/shame.) And I had a comment on Alma Mater over on FFN asking if I was ever going to finish that, so yeah. Will try to get to that, too.
(It sucks, because I'm no longer allowed to write at work when I'm on the desk, which is where I had been getting so much writing done. Sigh.)
And in other writings, I'm trying to restart working on both of my partially-completed novels, on which I've only written the most sporadic dribs and drabs for like more than six months now. I really need to, like, schedule myself a dedicated writing time at least once a week. Ostensibly I do already have one scheduled, as my local writer's group has been meeting every Friday evening for a couple months now to write, but we do a lot of chatting. :(
I miss living close enough to Starbucks to just drive there in like three minutes, and I miss my Starbucks rewards that made it financially feasible to actually purchase Starbucks. The only place that's really close enough to my new house to go to is a Wendy's, and like...yeah. Wendy's, man. You're probably all saying, just write at home! Hahaha. Oh, ahahahahahaha! Seriously, that's hilarious.

Yaaaaaaay for B5 fic! I haven't figured out what I'm going to do for my love month entry. :|||| any plot bunnies you want to give up for adoption, by any chance? Prompts? Anything? Also, you and I should have word wars or something. I haven't written anything in ages because I have no one to write WITH. sigh.
I've never really understood people who go to coffee shops to write. :| but I have faith in you! Just turn off the Internet and phone etc and GET WRITING!

Random prompts I have just thought of:
--Start with just your icon above, not even necessarily from the actual episode/scene it's from, and end with a kiss.
--Borrowing clothes.
--Sneaking around in the gardens.
--The first year of David's life.
Ooo, a word war would be fun! We've have to coordinate time zones, but I'd be up for that just about whenever - though a weekend would probably work best for me, as long as I'm not working.
Yeah, I know, I should be able to buckle down and write at home. I just always find something else to do, and if my house is messy/dirty I have to clean first, so. When I'm up against a deadline I can be diligent and awesome and sit down at my kitchen table and write, but it's not always easy. It's a dumb psychological thing, I know, but I like going somewhere with no distractions and no excuses.
I'm hoping that SOMEDAY we'll finish a couple rooms in our basement and I'll be able to have a little office/study in which to write. SOMEDAY.

Wheeeee these are great prompts! Blessings on your whole family, blessings on you, blessings on your cow, etc. Gonna save those and hopefully have something written by the end of August.
Time zones are a bitch, but I can stay awake most of the night if need be, so that should work, right? Do you work this weekend? I'm out tomorrow evening, though I guess I'd be home by the time it was your evening, lol, and bf's birthday is on Sunday, but again, probably more during the / my day than at night, so I should be around loads this weekend. Hopefully writing. How would we go about it, though? Do you have an instant messenger? I have Yahoo and MSN / Skype.
Ah yes, that I understand. I can't relate to it because I get distracted everywhere, and my anxiety at being by myself in a coffee shop would prevent any writing from getting done, but I do get why it'd be different for other people.
THAT would be great! How unfinished is the basement now? Could you not just set up a temporary desk down there for now? Or is it, idk, still dirty and gross and cold and whatever else basements usually are?

Ugh, the basement is nasty-pants right now. There's no way I could write down there unless I wanted to feel like I was writing in a haunted asylum or some shit and was going to be killed at any moment.
no subject
Ahhh I see, yeah, that wouldn't be fun. Might be worth trying if you ever write about a haunted asylum?
no subject
I think haunted asylum is probably next on my list, tbh.
no subject
Wow, what a list that must be.

I can imagine how it's a whole different thing to write at Starbucks then at home. I mean only thing I write for the next weeks is my BA and I assume I will get more stuff done when I have to sit in the libraryfor he writing cause I can't take the books I need home with meXD

Writing at home is about my only choice. But OMG the interruptions!
Yay for more fic! I desperately need to re-watch some S4 episodes for Delenn/Anna but have managed to limp by with checking times and dates in the chronology.

When I lived at home with my parents, writing at home was nigh impossible. It's easier in my own house for sure, but I still end up distracting myself...

I still read mostly at LJ. I post at DW and let it cross-post because a) you can't do it the other way, and b) I have a forever account at DW so it's my archive.

I need to spend some time over there and get to know the place.

Me too. I signed up quite some time ago because I got an invite, but really haven't done much with it at all.

Your writing things all sound very exciting! Good luck and may procrastination stay clear of you! :-)
Forever alway YAY for new John/Delenn though. ♥

Ugh, procrastination. Let us not speak of it.
