I know, I started watching when he was 70,000 feet up, and I'm so, so glad I had the opportunity to watch it live. It would not have been the same watching it later on YouTube, not at all.
I was really scared the whole time he was spinning. I let out a sigh of relief when he finally stabilized. All I could think about was the space jump from the latest Star Trek movie. I also thought about how just maybe we might be able to use this as a blueprint for rescuing an astronaut some day.
I remember reading about it a few weeks ago, but for some reason how awesome it was didn't really occur to me till I was watching yesterday. And then I was just verklempt the whole time. It was amazing.
My mum said the same! And I was like 'Duh mum I'm in the car!' 'Can't you watch on your laptop?' 'Mum I'm in the car where would I get a stable internet connection???' xD
