Usually he just does that thing where he cries but no sound, or very little, actually comes out. Like he's a poor wittle baby or something.

That's fantastic. Theoden is kind of dumb about that - even when he's trying to be pathetic he's got a great big, fairly deep voice for a cat. Random (the grey/white) is a bit brighter - he makes tiny cute little mewing noises when he's hungry. He's better at the whole sympathy thing. Theo just shouts.

Ah, growling. I want to ask them if they think they actually scare me.

In fairness, Random gets away with this with me because, um, he does. o_O I'm used to Theoden, who is a big orange marshmallow who hardly remembers he has claws, whereas The Boy wrassles with Random like he's a dog and lets him claw his arms and crap, so... yes, I admit, I am a bit afraid of that cat when he gets a certain look in his eyes. >_>
