He is also a ginger (that's him in the icon). And his way of being a bastard is more passive-aggressive - when whining fails to get the result he wants, he finds something really annoying to do, like getting up and chewing on random cords or knocking things off a desk.

Mr Phoenix sounds like quite a character. The Boy's cat (white with grey mackerel patches) growls if you try to take a toy away from him, but I don't think either of them have ever hissed at me.
