They brought back Grissom and Catherine, but not Nick. Grissom and Sara had apparently gotten married and divorced since I stopped watching the show, but the finale had them get back together and literally sail into the sunset. Which is great, although it also implies that Sara gave up a promotion to lab director because of that, which isn't great...Anyway, the finale is decent; Lady Heather is in it, and it's a pretty standard CSI case. Nothing mind-blowing.
I'm trying to avoid focusing on the wig (yes, it's terrible) and other weird stuff, like how CSM is back even though I'm pretty sure they killed him. I'm still excited, though. Kumail Nanjiani from Silicon Valley does an X-files podcast that I listen to, that some people credit with reviving interest in the series, and he actually has a guest role in one of the episodes. It's kind of cute; his geeking out about it is contagious.
Ha, yeah, I get the Facebook objection. I've gone back and read through old board posts; I don't even remember writing some of that stuff, heh. I use FB, Twitter, Tumblr, and Instagram, but nothing ideal for long-form conversations. Let me know if you think of anything!
